If you know the car is worth a lot more money than it is being advertised for, use a great deal of caution

If the seller claims there is a Buy It Now option for a few thousand dollars but does not actually have the feature in the auction itself, again, be very careful

If the seller says you must e-mail him or her because they cannot access My Messages/My Messages is not working for them/Is linked to their work e-mail/insert any other reason here - they are lying! This is one of the easiest ways for a seller to get your contact information to use for their deceitful purposes

Never, ever, use a third party to secure a transaction on eBay. If the seller will not list the car with the BIN feature as part of the auction, stay away!

Remember, conducting transactions through e-mail and/or outside of the eBay auction system is strictly against eBays rules. If a seller does ask you to complete a transaction without using an eBay auction report them immediately
